This two mile event is part of the Selma District Chamber of Commerce Raisin Festival. It has been held 25 years and proceeds have been used to fund various non-profits and education in Selma. In 2019, the name was changed as a memorial to long-time participant John Paredes. Proceeds from this year's event will fund scholarships for high school seniors at Selma High School.
