Completion, rather than competition, is the focus of the San Luis Obispo Triathlon. Each participant is encouraged to set and meet his or her own personal goal. This short course (or sprint) triathlon offers something for everyone accommodating the novice participant while still challenging the experienced athlete.The SLO Triathlon consists of a 1/2 mile pool swim, 15.3 mile bike ride on local roads (note: portions of the road will be open to local traffic), and a 3.1 mile run.
