On September 30, 2017, The Los Angeles Police Department will be honoring LAPD SWAT Officer Randy Simmons in their 10th Annual 5K/10K Run, Crossfit Challenge and Bike Ride. Officer Randy Simmons was the first LAPD SWAT Officer to be killed in the line of duty. He was an extraordinary Police Officer, a positive role model.
